Beginner Certifications
Harness Exam (1 Picture Required)
The Harness Certification title is similar to Canine Good Citizen in that it tests a dog's manners and obedience, but what makes it unique is that all Nudari sitting for the examination must be wearing a specifically designed Nudari working harness (example).
The Canis Nudari breed has been worked in harness since it's development, so this is a key part of the breed's heritage. The harness used is made of colored leather, and can be in any color or pattern (they often match the eye color of the dog); it should be fitted snugly but not to the point where it causes unnecessary irritation. While in harness the Nudari is expected to be in "work mode", alert, and aware of its surroundings.
The object of the exam is to evaluate proper temperament while in this "work zone". Nudari are expected to be alert but calm, respectful to strangers and other dogs, and must be comfortable in the harness first and foremost. They must show both off leash and on lead manners and recall. The exam can be taken anywhere so long as a Nudari Club judge is present to oversee the exam.
To earn this title, your dog needs ONE IMAGE of any of the following tasks, full body with background, with a short story of how the exam went.

Hunting Instinct Certified: Hare (1 Image Required)
This certification tests a Nudari's desire to work with and hunt rabbit and/or hare.
The dog must be muzzled and is required to course a provided hare to test the dog's drive and ability to follow the prey's movements closely. Dogs are not permitted to harm the actual animal, but will course it for a predetermined amount of time (which can be longer or shorter depending on when the dog gives up the chase).
Images for this certification are required to be full body with a background and must show at least half of the rabbit or hare. No story is required. Completing this certificate will award the HIC-H title.
This title is required to earn any further Hare Hunting titles with the group.

Hunting Instinct Certified: Antelope (1 Image Required)
This certification tests a Nudari's desire to work with antelopes and gazelles much like their wild counterparts.
While most antelopes are endangered, there are a couple species such as the Gemsbok, Nilgai, and Common Eland that have a rating of "least concern" and are free to test on. Dogs must be muzzled and will chase one of the available species. Those dogs that show ample drive and desire will be awarded with the HIC-A title.
Images for this certification are required to be full body with a background and must show at least half of the antelope. If you have a question about an antelope species you wish to use for the certification, please note the group PRIOR to drawing your image. The use of endangered antelopes will result in the dog not passing the exam.

Hunting Instinct Certified: Game Birds (2 Images Required)
This certification tests a Nudari's desire and skill to hunt game birds (ducks, quail, pheasant, etc). Although the Nudari isn't traditionally a gun dog, some individuals take very quickly to different aspects of field work including flushing, retrieving, and actual bird hunting (catching them without the assistance of a hunter). In this certification, dogs will not be required to kill, but rather retrieve already dead birds. This should be treated like a field trial.
Nudari must display a soft mouth and not injure the birds upon bringing them back. Dogs may be pictured flushing or retrieving any type of game bird. Those that show ability to flush or a desire to retrieve with a soft mouth will receive the HIC-B title.
Images for this certification (two images are required) are required to be full body with a background. No story is required. If writing for this title rather than drawing, a minimum of 600 words is necessary.

|
Inspired by real life gazelle coursing held in Saudi Arabia, the Trial of Endurance is a 2 kilometer (1.2 miles, 2,112 yards) sprint race where dogs are lured by a vehicle-propelled taxidermized gazelle (or a live gazelle depending on preference). Handlers, spectators, and judges follow the race in vehicles.
Other dogs, vehicles, or gazelle are not required to be pictured. |
Pre-Requisite Titles
Endurance Test (AD or UHP) - This title can be earned through the Nudari Group or an affiliated kennel group such as Pedigree-Club. During the Endurance Test, a dog is required to trot beside of a handler on bicycle for a total of 12.5 miles (20 KM). There is a 15 minute rest period at 8 KM and 15KM where a judge exams the dog for foot injuries, fatigue, or poor condition. The dog should be trotting approximately 12-15 mph. This requires 1 image, full body/full background or a 300 word literature.
Fit to Run (FtR) - This exam is held in similar conditions as the Trial of Endurance except the distance is halved (1,050 yards), the dogs run alone, and the pace is less demanding. The run is straight without turns, in a desert environment. The dog is not permitted to wear equipment except for a collar (no muzzles or racing jackets). Booties are optional. This requires 1 image, full body/full background or a 300 word literature.
Dogs with both their AD and FtR titles may participate to earn the following titles.
Trial of Endurance I (ET1)
Trial of Endurance II (ET2)
Trial of Endurance III (ET3)
Endurance Trial Champion (ETCh)
Additionally, dogs will be placed 1st through 5th for each run (so 4 placements total). This is randomized. A dog who places first will receive an additional title of FtF (First to Finish).
